We want your appointment to be as stress-free as possible!

Our staff will do their best to make your experience pleasant and convenient.

Health and Safety

Your health and safety are extremely important to us and we want you to feel assured that you are in an environment that is clean, appropriately equipped, and safe for your health. Here is what to know about the procedures in our clinic:

  • We currently aren’t taking walk-ins. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you would like to get glasses, have glasses adjusted or fixed, pick up your new glasses, or consult with us about glasses issues, you will need to make an appointment.

  • Our staff wear masks onsite. At this point, masks are optional for our patients, but staff will all still be masked.

  • Our doors stay locked to keep traffic low, so you will need to call us to let you in.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Insurance and Payment Options

We are committed to providing affordable, quality eye care services and we strive to provide the best value for you and your family. We have products and pricing to accommodate all budgets.

Are you a PEBB employee and wondering about vision insurance choices during open enrollment time? We are contracted with MetLife Vision (and neither of the two other choices).

INSURANCE

We accept a wide range of insurance carriers, including:

  • Aetna

  • Amerigroup/Wellpoint (no new patients)

  • Cigna

  • Community Health Plan of Washington (children only; no new patients)

  • First Choice

  • Lifewise

  • Medicare

  • Molina (children only; no new patients)

  • Northwest Benefit Network

  • Premera

WHY DO WE ASK FOR YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE AND YOUR VISION INSURANCE?

Vision insurance typically covers things like routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, new glasses, and so on. Eye issues or other health problems that affect the eyes are considered outside of routine vision care and get billed to your medical insurance.

Examples of eye- and eye-affected health issues covered by medical insurance may include (but are not limited to):

  • Eye pain or redness

  • Dry or itchy eyes

  • Loss of vision or newly blurry vision

  • Eye strain or double vision

  • Eye diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease

  • Cataracts

  • Diabetes

  • Hypertension

  • Autoimmune issues like thyroid disease, lupus, etc.

  • Use of certain medications

PAYMENT

We accept cash, check, and major debit and credit cards, including MasterCard and Visa. We also accept Care Credit—a card specifically to help with health care expenses (learn more about Care Credit here). Additionally, we welcome flexible spending plans, health savings accounts (HSA), medical savings accounts (MSA), and cafeteria plans.

All of the above plans can be used for all your eye care and eye wear needs, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, routine office visits and medical office visits.

For patients who have little- or no vision insurance coverage, flexible payment programs may be arranged. To learn more about our payment options, please call our office directly at 206-906-9944.

You may also pay your invoice online—click here.

Electronic Medical Records

Existing patients can access their prescriptions, exam notes, and/or download their medical records on our electronic medical record patient portal website. Due to privacy laws, we are not permitted to email your prescription or other health information, because email is not considered a secure way to share protected health information. Please contact our office to obtain your personal login and temporary password.

If you are a new patient looking to fill out your intake forms, please check your email inbox (or junk mail)—you should have received an email with a link to fill them out. Please contact our office if you are unable to find or access them.
